Pineapple jam is very tasty and fragrant. In this season there are many cakes and cookies that we can enjoy with this pineapple jam. This time we will learn to make our own pineapple jam using fresh pineapple. It’s easy but it takes patience to make it. But everything will pay off with the results, very satisfying.

Ingredients for Pineapple Jam:

Just 2 basic ingredients for Pineapple Jam, First Fresh Pineapple or you can use canned pineapple. And the second ingredient, Sugar to thicken jam and as a preservative. If you make pineapple jam for Christmas cookies, you can add spices for a more fragrant and delicious result. Usually I use some cinnamon and cloves, you can use cinnamon powder or a piece of cinnamon. If you like a pinch of salt can be added.

If you are in a tropical region that has a lot of fresh pineapple, it is advisable to use fresh pineapple to make pineapple jam for Christmas cookies. Fresh pineapple is certainly fresher and healthier to consume and more durable to store as pineapple jam.

How to Make Pineapple Jam for Christmas Cookies,

Peel the pineapple skin and discard the stem in the middle

Shredded the pineapple, not to smooth we need a good texture of the pineapple jam.

Pour the shredded pineapple in to pot, cook over medium heat until the juices are reduced. Stir continuously do not let it burn. If you like to use spices, you can add now.

Once the juices reduced add sugar as you need, and keep stir the jam.

Once it feels heavy and thickens means the jam is ready. We need a thick jam to be made into cookies.

The jam ready to shape as you like for cookies topping.
