Milky Chicken Yummy Recipes
We were delighted! This unusual recipe Jamie Oliver introduced to us. This recipe is from the book “Happy days with the Naked Chef”. I can only say Milky Chicken is Yummy …. 🙂
- 1 chicken
- Salt, pepper
- 115 g of butter
- 2 lemons (peel)
- 1/2 of stick of cinnamon
- Handful of sage
- Olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves
- Ca. 500 ml of milk, although it says 565 ml in the book
1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and then take a big enough baking pan .
2 . Roast the chicken on butter with a bit of olive oil, turning the chicken so it gets an even golden color .
3 . Transfer the chicken into a pan and pour in the fat that you got after roasting the chicken. Add all the other ingredient and then pour in the milk. Cook it in the preheated oven for about an hour and half. Douse it from time to time with the liquid mixture you get from the roasting.
4. Serve with a spinach puree or mashed potatoes and side dish you like.
Hint : Lemon peel will curdle the milk a bit. This way you’re going to get a very tasty gravy.
